Scott M. Boggs is an Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Boggs joined HomeStreet Bank in 2006 as a member of its board of directors and became a director of the Company following the closing of our initial public offering in February 2012. Mr. Boggs served as the Lead Independent Director of the Board from March 2015 through June 2018. Prior to joining HomeStreet Bank’s board of directors, Mr. Boggs was employed by Microsoft Corporation from 1993 to 2003 where he served in a variety of positions, including vice president, corporate controller from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Boggs was also an adjunct professor for the Seattle University Albers School of Business and Economics, teaching accounting and information systems from 2004 until 2009. Mr. Boggs previously served as a trustee and chair of the audit committee and budget and investments committee of the Financial Executives Research Foundation from 2002 to 2008, as director, chair of the pension committee and a member of the audit committee of the Cascade Natural Gas Corporation from 2004 to 2007, and director, vice chair of audit committee and designated financial expert of the Safeco family of mutual funds from 2002 to 2004. He is a former member of the Seattle University Internal Audit Advisory Board, the King County Strategic Technology Advisory Council, the Seattle University Accounting Advisory Board and the Financial Executives International. Mr. Boggs started his career as a certified public accountant (currently inactive) with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells from 1977 to 1985, and he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Washington.
